Career Stats

Two-way player in 2018 who saw limited action as a freshman, but became one of the team’s best relievers in 2019 … became the Friday starter in 2020 … in 72.1 innings pitched over 33 appearances (nine starts) and three seasons, he had a 4-0 record and 3.48 ERA while allowing 48 hits (.195 opponents’ batting average) and 61 walks with 106 strikeouts.

Personal: His father, Mike, played baseball at Central Michigan (1984-88) … his sister, Tess, played basketball at Northern Michigan (2015-18) … his brother, Ty, was a sophomore righthander at Ball State in 2020 … majoring in criminal justice … born Samuel Thomas Weatherly on May 28, 1999 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
