On Monday, April 21, the Division of Student Affairs hosted its annual Student Affairs Awards and Student Leader Appreciation Ceremony. The Office of Civic Engagement honored the Solid Orange Squad and Be a T.I.G.E.R! as the Student Organization of the Year for Exceptional Community Service. The plaque hangs high in the Harvey and Lucinda Gantt Center for Student Life.
Eight years ago in 2006, the Solid Orange Squad and the Be a T.I.G.E.R! programs began. From the beginning, these student-athlete run organizations have been a huge success, only getting better with time. Each year, more student-athletes become involved in the Solid Orange Squad’s efforts to reach out and give back to the community. With several programs running and requests coming in daily, Clemson’s student-athletes volunteers have not hesitated to step up and participate.
Thank you to all who have helped out with the Solid Orange Squad and Be a T.I.G.E.R! We truly appreciate your dedication to service because without your commitment, we would not have received this great honor.
