Solid Orange Squad Makes Two Elementary School Visits During the Week of February 8

Feb. 12, 2010

On Tuesday, February 9, Alexa Rand (volleyball) and Jeremy Campbell (football) helped Six Mile celebrate their monthly MVP Party. This celebration is to honor one student from each homeroom who has exhibited excellent character. The student-athletes shared with the children what it means to them to be an MVP and stressed the fact that an MVP is not necessarily the person who receives the most recognition, but is hardworking.

On Friday, Campbell visited Stone Academy in Greenville, SC to celebrate Black History Month. Over one hundred students were broken up into four groups and rotated to different stations to hear Dr. Dale L. Sanders (Psychologist at Clemson University), Mandrallius Robinson (Sports Reporter at Greenville News), Parthenia Robinson (Academic Coordinator at Potential Youth Foundation) and Jeremy speak about achieving in every field; academically, athletically and personally.
