Clemson, S.C. – Clemson junior Ivy Shepherd led the Tigers during the second round of the LTWF Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate in Sarasota, Fla. with a two-under-par 70 score. The event, which is being hosted by Purdue at The Founders Golf Club, will wrap up Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers enter the final day of action after posting 294-293 scores in the opening rounds for a team total of 587, placing them in eighth place.
Shepherd matched her five birdies from day one on the second day of competition, this time securing a two-under-par mark. Carrying over from round one, Shepherd leads the field on par-five scoring, sitting at five-under-par through 36 holes of play. Her tournament total of two-under sits her in ninth place on the players leaderboard as she looks to secure another top-10 finish.
Annabelle Pancake, who is debuting for the Tigers in the first tournament of the year, posted a two-over-par 74 alongside Clemson sophomore Savannah Grewal. After playing 13 holes bogey-free in yesterday’s opening round, Pancake played 12 holes of the second round without a blemish at two-under. Pancake and Grewal sit tied for 24th and 30th on the players leaderboard, respectively, as they look to improve in the final round.
Alexandra Swayne closed out Clemson’s scoring for the day with a three-over 75 after knocking in four birdies on the front nine.
Clemson will close out its first tournament of the year on Tuesday. The Tigers will tee off at 8 a.m. alongside players from Virginia Tech and Purdue with live scoring available via Golfstat.
