ATLANTA, GA – The Clemson women’s track and field team completed competition at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday at the George C. Griffin Track. Shakirah Rutherford and Gisele Oliveira led the Lady Tigers on the second day of competition with season-best performances. Rutherford placed fourth in the 400m hurdles with a season-best and regional qualifying time of 59.81. Oliveira tied her season-best effort and school-record mark of 43’11.75″ in the triple jump as she claimed the event on Saturday.
In the 100m, Shakirah Rutherford, Shakirah Rutherford, Silja Ulfarsdottir clocked a regional-qualifying 3:42.89 to place second.
In the field events, Oliveira won the triple jump with her leap of 43’11.75″, and Krystal Woods recorded a mark of 141’9″ in the discus throw.
