We are preparing to play North Carolina tonight in Chapel Hill. Road games are the best! We flew out of the Anderson County Airport yesterday afternoon at 3:00. We arrived in Raleigh/Durham at 5:00. We went to our hotel, which is actually located on the Duke campus. We stay here twice a year for games against both Duke and North Carolina. We went to dinner at 6:30 and then went to the Dean Dome for some shooting. They woke us up at 9:45 this morning. We had breakfast and then went back to the Dean Dome for a light practice.

We have from 2:00 to 4:00 to ourselves. During this time some guys will go eat, sleep or spend time with family that might be arriving at the hotel. We eat pre-game meal at 4:00 in a private room in the hotel. You have until 6:05 to do what ever you need to do to get ready for the game. This includes getting dressed, taped, getting medical treatment or again possibly sleeping. We meet again at 6:05 and we will depart for the game at 6:30. The game should be over by 10:00 to 10:30, but often times the bus will not leave for the airport until an hour after the game.

Tonight we should be back on the plane by 11:30 and back in Anderson by 1:00 a.m. Arriving so late can definitely be tiring, especially on a school night, but luckily school is not back in yet.

We feel we have a great opportunity tonight to do something special, that is to win at Chapel Hill, something that no other Clemson team has ever done. We have had our difficult times early in the season but we feel that we are playing our best right now. Our defense continues to be strong, our offense is getting better with ever game, our young players continue to mature and we are getting healthier ever day.

North Carolina has another outstanding team this year but they have had their troubles as well. We are coming off of a big win against Furman last week in the Bi-Lo Center so our confidence is on the rise. The conference schedule started two days ago and we all start in first place, now all we have to do is stay there.
