With three steals in the game, Lele Hardy claimed solepossession of second place in school history with 98 steals for theseason. She had been tied with Barbara Kennedy’s mark of 95 fromthe 1979-80 season, while Ramona O’Neal holds the record with 116steals in 1988-89. Hardy’s 98 steals also rank fourth in ACChistory for a freshman. Her mark trails only Marion Jones(UNC-111), Alana Beard (Duke-106) and Dawn Staley (UVA-102). TashaTaylor came within one assist of moving into ninth place in Clemsonhistory for career assists. With six on Thursday, she brought hertotal to 338. Krystal Scott holds the #9 position with 339 assistsfrom 1998-2002. Susan Yenser set a career high with 21 pointsagainst Virginia, bettering her previous mark of 19 recordedagainst Savannah State in the 2005-06 season. She also had the bestgame from behind the arc for a Clemson player this year, going4-for-4 on three-point attempts. She was also 8-for-9 from thefield overall, for a .889 shooting percentage that was also thehighest mark for a Lady Tiger this season. Yenser’s fourthree-point field goals tied the Clemson record for three’s in anACC Tournament game. Kerry Boyatt had four against NC State in the1991 tournament, and Chrissy Floyd hit four against the Wolfpack in2002. Hardy also had 14 points in the game. She scored in doublefigures in the final seven games of the season. D’Lesha Lloydrecorded her sixth double-double of the season with 23 points and11 rebounds. It was her first double-double since the Jan. 2contest against Charlotte when she had 21 points and 14 rebounds.The 11 rebounds were the most she has recorded against an ACCopponent this season, and the first time she has pulled downdouble-figure boards in a league game. The game was also her first20-point game since the Charlotte contest. Clemson’s 49 points inthe first half were its second highest first half total of theseason. The Lady Tigers scored 52 against Wake Forest on Feb. 15.Clemson set a school record for three-point field goals made in anACC Tournament game with its seven against Virginia. The previoushigh was six, recorded against Georgia Tech in the semifinals ofthe 1992 tournament.
