Parker Tabbed ACC Track Performer of the Week

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Track & Field’s Marcus Parker has been named the ACC Men’s Track Performer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Parker set the nation’s No. 2 collegiate time in the 200m dash Saturday (April 13) at South Carolina’s Gamecock Invitational. Parker’s time is also the fastest in the ACC so far this season and good for No. 6 all-time in Clemson history. The Eastern New Mexico transfer placed second overall in Saturday’s race, finishing just behind the current NCAA leader in the event, Ohio State’s Nick Gray. Parker also clocked 10.38 in the 100m dash, which currently ranks second in the ACC and 28th nationally.

The Tigers return to track Saturday, April 20 at LSU’s Alumni Gold. Live results can be found on ClemsonTigers.com. Additionally, four Tigers are set to compete at the Mt. SAC Relays Thursday, April 18.
