SPRINGFIELD, N.J. — Annabelle Pancake and Sydney Roberts earned two points for the ACC to highlight the match play portion of the inaugural Ivy Intercollegiate, hosted Monday and Tuesday at Baltusrol Golf Club.
The unique tournament, which included 36 holes of stroke play on Monday before the two conferences went head-to-head on Tuesday, was tri-hosted by Columbia, Princeton and Yale. UNC was the stroke play team champion on Monday, while the Tar Heels’ Krista Junkkari and Florida State’s Lottie Woad split medalist honors.
Thirty points were up for grabs in Tuesday’s match play. The lineups were set based on how each of the 30 members of the conferences finished on Monday. Pancake and Roberts came through for the ACC, as Pancake won her match over Penn’s Selina Li 4 and 3, while Roberts topped Yale’s Ashley Yen 4 and 3.
The ACC won the match play 20.5 to 9.5. Chloe Holder tied her match, while Savannah Grewal and Melena Barrientos fell in theirs.
The Tigers are back in action at the end of the month, heading to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for the Battle at the Beach, hosted by TCU.
