GREENSBORO, NC – Three-time ACC Rookie of the Week Lele Hardy and Christy Brownwere selected. Dixon is just the sixth Lady Tiger ever to claim the accomplishment.
The Alpharetta, GA native ranks second among all league freshmen at 12.4 points per game, which leads the team, and is one of just two freshmen in the conference averaging double-figures. She has scored ten or more points in 19 of Clemson’s game this season, and became the first Lady Tiger in history to be named the ACC’s Rookie of the Week three times.
Dixon has been a stat-stuffer this season, averaging 12.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 steals, and 2.5 assists per game in 32.1 minutes per game and 27 starts. She ranks among the top ten in the conference in steals and minutes per game, and ranks among the top five freshmen in the ACC in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, minutes, starts, field goals made, free throws made and attempted and three-pointers made.
Clemson will open play in the ACC Tournament on Thursday at 11:00 am as they take n North Carolina at the Greensboro Coliseum in a televised game. Clemson defeated the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill earlier this season.
