Nick Glaser Named ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week

Clemson, SC – Junior righthander and closer Nick Glaser (Wishkah, WA) was named ACC Co-Pitcher-of-the-Week for his 6.1 scoreless innings he pitched in three games last week.

He allowed just three hits while striking out seven in 0.1 innings against Georgia on April 11, 4.0 innings against #11 Wake Forest in the first game of a doubleheader on April 15, and 2.0 innings against the Demon Deacons in the second game of a doubleheader on April 15.

Glaser earned saves in the Georgia and second Wake Forest games as well. Glaser has a 1.05 ERA along with an ACC-best 11 saves. The 11 saves ranks second in a season in Tiger history, three behind the record of 14 held by Scott Winchester (1995).

In 25.2 innings this season, he has allowed 20 hits, three earned runs, no homers, and a .222 opponent batting average along with 32 strikeouts.

Glaser is in his first season with the Tiger program after transferring from Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, Washington. Glaser shares the honor with Wake Forest’s Eric Schmitt.
