Nathan Thompson Earns ACC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

Clemson’s Nathan Thompson guided his team to an undefeated record in the Clemson Spring Classic, en route to being named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.

The Baltimore, Md., native was a perfect 4-0 in singles competition and 2-0 in doubles action, including wins at No. 1 singles over Julio Moran of UNC-Greensboro, Tennessee Tech’s Gernot Fischer, Eric Kochanski of West Virginia and St. John’s Rick Ferreira.

The sophomore also notched wins with Jarmaine Jenkins over Fischer/Aguerrevere of Tennessee Tech and West Virginia’s Kochanski/Epvey at No. 1 doubles. No. 43 Clemson returns to action on March first when it hosts No. 46 South Alabama.
