BOCA RATON, Fla. – In her first race competing for Team USA, Logan Morris finished eighth overall in a field of 25 competitors on Saturday, March 4. The national team took on Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico in the NACAC Cross Country Championships and placed second behind Canada.
Morris finished the 5k event 17:20.88 to finish second for the United States and six seconds behind USA’s top finisher in seventh place. The lone USA competitor to place ahead of Morris was Aubrey Roberts who finished 50th overall for Northwestern at this year’s NCAA Championships.
Next, Morris and Team USA will travel to Kampala, Uganda on March 26 for the IAAF World Junior Cross Country Championship. The competition is her final scheduled race competing for the red, white and blue.
