Men’s Track And Field To Compete At Raleigh Relays

The Clemson men’s track and field team will compete at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State, this Friday and Saturday. The Tigers will begin competition on Friday at 10:00 AM with the discus throw, and finish the first day of the meet with the 10,000m scheduled for 8:30 PM. Clemson will return to the track at 10:45 AM Saturday for the 3000m steeplechase, and conclude competition with the 4x400m relay slated for 4:20 PM.

On Friday, Derek Gilson will open the meet for the Tigers with the discus throw at 10:00 AM. Chris Gross, Ryan Hunter and Rashad Gardner starts the track events for Clemson with the 110m hurdles trials. At 1:00 PM, Grafton Ifill will compete in the trials of the 100m, followed by Ronald Richards and Warren Eure in the 400m at 2:00 PM. Also scheduled for 2:00 PM, Gilson and Lombardi will compete in the shot put. Warren Eure, Ifill, Otto Spain and Marcus Hodge will take to the track at 5:00 PM, followed by two distance events. Scott Shaw will compete in the 5,000m at 7:20 PM, and Jason Meany and Matt Pimentel will run the 10,000m at 8:30 PM.

The meet continues on Saturday morning at 10:45 AM with the 3,000m steeplechase in which David Adams, Grafton Ifill will compete in the 200m at 3:55 PM. The 4x400m relay team of Eure, Gardner, Copes and Richards will represent Clemson in the Tigers’ final event at 4:20 PM.
