Men’s Track And Field Team Competes At UNC Blue Heaven Invitational

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s track and field team competed at the UNC Blue Heaven Track and Field Rumble this weekend in Chapel Hill. Otto Spain and Todd Matthews led the Tigers with top finishes in the 400m dash and 60m hurdles, respectively, while Doug Amiegh won the high jump.

Michael Bolling and Spain placed third among collegiate teams with a time of 3:18.24.

Clemson swept three of the top four spots in the high jump as George Kitchens posted a fifth-place finish among collegiate athlete in the long jump (23’11.5″), and Andrew Kessler placed seventh in the pole vault, clearing 15’7″. Brett Varner and Colt Hodge took fourth and sixth place in the weight throw with marks of 55’11.75″ and 54’11.25″, respectively.

The Tigers return to action Feb. 1-2 at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, AR.
