CLEMSON, S.C. – Miami (FL) won four singles matches after winning the doubles point as the Hurricanes defeated Clemson 5-2 in a men’s intercollegiate tennis match at Clemson, SC Saturday evening.
With the win, Miami improves to 9-8 on the year, while Clemson falls to 11-16 this season.
At number-one singles, Miami’s Todd Widom defeated Goran Sterijovski 6-4, 6-4. Widom also teammed with Tomas Smid and won at number-one doubles with a 9-7 victory over Clemson’s Marko Gojanovic and Sander Koning.
The Tigers will play South Carolina on Tuesday April 16, in Belton, SC at 3:30 p.m. in Clemson’s next action.
