Men’s Tennis Downs Maryland, 7-0

March 11, 2000

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s tennis team defeated Maryland 7-0 on Saturday morning at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. Tomasz Boniecki played number-one singles for the Tigers and won his match against Larry Chou 6-2, 6-1. Boniecki also led the way in doubles as he played in the number-one position with fellow Tiger Luis Garcia. The duo defeated Chou and Chris Chiu of Maryland 8-1. The win improved the 29th ranked Tigers to 9-5 on the season and 1-0 in the ACC. This afternoon Clemson will travel to Furman for a 4:00 P.M match against the Paladins.
