Men’s Soccer Ranked in Top Ten of Two Polls

The Clemson men’s soccer team is ranked in three soccer polls in listings released Tuesday. The Tigers are ranked sixth by Soccer America and eighth by Soccertimes.com. In the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) the Clemson men are ranked 11th. The Clemson men’s soccer team has a 4-1-1 record overall, and are coming off a 3-2 win over ACC-foe N.C. State last Sunday afternoon.

Clemson will play host to the Clemson Invitational this weekend. Teams that are participating include Gonzaga, Fairfield and Furman. On Friday, September 27, Furman will play Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. and Clemson will face Gonzaga at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, September 29, Furman will play Gonzaga at 12:30 p.m. and Clemson will play Fairfield at 3:00 p.m. All of the action will be at Clemson’s Historic Riggs Field. The Clemson Invitational is one of the oldest soccer tournaments in America.
