Men 16th, Women 17th at Southeast Regionals

CLEMSON, S.C. — The cross country season came to a close for both of Clemson’s teams Friday at the NCAA Southeast Regionals in Louisville, Ky. The Tiger men were 16th (of 33) as a team and the women 17th (of 38) at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park.

Roland Hakes led all runners individually, finishing 49th overall in the men’s 10K. He posted a time of 31:20.7. Next closest behind him in the men’s competition was Aaron Ramirez, who crossed the finish line 64th in his final cross country race as a Tiger. Also scoring on the afternoon were Josh Davis (103rd), Chris Cummings (117th) and Evan Abdullah (119th).

In the women’s 6K, Grace Barnett took home Clemson’s top honor. She was 62nd overall and crossed the line with a time of 21:36.9. Natoya Goule was the team’s No. 2 runner Friday, posting a 74th-place finish in 21:47.5. The final three scorers for the Tigers were Catherine Herring (100th), Evie Tate (110th) and Madison Huffman (148th).
