McRae Named CRCA Honorable Mention All-American

CLEMSON, S.C. — Junior rower Isla McRae was named to the Pocock Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Honorable Mention All-America team, the association announced on Monday. It marks the first time since 2014 that a Clemson rower has earned All-American recognition (Milena Heuer – Second Team).

A native of Columbus, Ohio, McRae was a staple in Clemson’s 1V8 lineup in 2018. She also earned a spot on the All-ACC Second Team following the ACC Championships in May in addition to All-ACC Academic honors.

Criteria for the award include:

  • The student-athlete must meet all eligibility rules as defined by her institution.
  • The student-athlete must have rowed at least 75% of the season’s races in the varsity boat
  • The student-athlete must be nominated by her institution
  • The Head Coach of the student-athlete’s institution must be a member in good standing of the CRCA.
