KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Former Clemson University men’s basketball player Mark Donnal was honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and named to the 2017-18 NABC Honors Court, announced by the NABC on Tuesday.
Donnal earned the honor for excelling in academics during the past season, posting a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or above. Donnal graduated from Clemson with a master’s degree in athletic leadership after transferring from the University of Michigan to fulfill his last year of eligibility as a graduate transfer. He was the first graduate transfer in the history of the Clemson basketball program.
Last season, Donnal appeared in 34 games, making three starts and averaging 15.4 minutes per contest. Donnal averaged 3.7 points and 1.6 rebounds, while posting a season-high 13 points at NC State. He led the team in 3-point percentage with a clip of 47.6 percent from behind the arc.
