TERRE HAUTE, IN – Two members of the Clemson men’s cross country team competed at the 2004 NCAA Championships held Monday afternoon. Itay Magidi and Derrick Wyatt represented the Tigers at the national meet, after automatically qualifying with second and fifth-place finishes at the region championships. Magidi finished 58th at the NCAA meet, crossing the finish line in 32:07.1, while Wyatt brought home a 130th-place finish and time of 32:54.2.
Clemson head coach Bob Pollock said, “I am really proud of Itay and Derrick’s performances today. They competed in tough conditions, as the course was really mushy from rain over the last few days. Both Itay and Derrick had great seasons, and I am pleased that they represented Clemson well at the national meet.”
