Clemson, SC- Senior diver Shastin Leathers (Boca Raton, FL) is ready to bounce into action at the NCAA Zone “B” Diving Regional this weekend. The regional will be held from March 10-12, in Lexington, KY. Leathers qualified for the one-meter board by shattering her own school record against rival South Carolina. She finished with a score of 298.28, eclipsing her score of 271.65 that was set last season.
Leathers will be competing on the one-meter board on Friday, and will take part in the three-meter competition on Saturday. She will need to be one of the top nine women divers in the zone in order to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
The NCAA Women’s Championships will start on Thursday, March 16. Leathers will look to join teammates Kim Routh (500 free, 1650 free, 200 free) and Michelle Parkhurst (100 back, 200 back, 50 free) who have already qualified for the meet.
