CLEMSON, SC-The Clemson Lady Tiger basketball team will play host to the 15th-ranked Scarlet Knights of Rutgers on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003 at 2:00 PM in Littlejohn Coliseum.
The Lady Tigers return to action after finishing in second place at the 2003 Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage, Alaska. Clemson defeated BYU and then lost to Alaska-Anchorage in the championship game of the tournament.
Prior to the tournament, the Lady Tigers defeated in-state rival South Carolina, 103-99, in Littlejohn Coliseum.
Clemson enters the Rutgers game with a 2-1 record. Rutgers, ranked 15th by both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today/WBCA this week (Nov. 24), is 3-1 this season following a 73-45 loss at No. 7/5 Texas Tech (4-0) in the Preseason WNIT final Nov. 23.
This will be the third meeting between Clemson and Rutgers. The series record is 1-1, with Rutgers winning a game in the 1980-81 season and Clemson winning a game in the 1992-93 season.
