Lady Tigers To Face N.C. State Thursday Night

The Clemson women’s basketball team will play host to N.C. State Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson will enter the contest with a 12-11 record overall, and a 4-8 mark in the ACC. Clemson is led in scoring by Chrissy Floyd with a 16.9 ppg. average. Chrissy Floyd is currently in second place on Clemson’s career scoring list with 1,821.

N.C. State enters the game with a 10-13 record overall, and a 5-7 slate in the ACC. Kaayla Chones leads the team in scoring with a 14.2 ppg. average. Chones and Adeola Olanrewaju both lead the team in rebounding with a 8.0 rpg. mark.

This will be the 64th meeting between Clemson and N.C. State on the basketball court. N.C. State leads the overall series 39-24. N.C. State defeated the Lady Tigers 63-55 in Raleigh, NC on January 20. The Clemson Lady Tiger basketball team along with the Clemson University Graduate School and the Graduate Student Government are promoting children’s literacy during the month of February.

The focus of this project is to provide books for children in Head Start to the sixth grade. The Clemson Lady Tigers are asking that fans bring one or more children’s books (new or used) to the women’s basketball games on Thursday, February 20, vs. N.C. State at 7:00 p.m. or Sunday, February 23, vs. Georgia Tech at 2:00 p.m..

Anyone bringing a book will have free admission to the games for themselves and up to three family members. Books will be collected at the gates. The books that are donated will be given to local community agencies and schools.
