Lady Tigers To Face Furman Sunday

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Lady Tiger Basketball team will face Furman Sunday afternoon in Greenville, SC at 3:00 p.m. in Timmons Arena.

Clemson has a 3-1 record overall after a 71-63 win over South Carolina on November 28. The Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Gamecocks for the seventh straight time since the 1995-96 season.

Krystal Scott leads the Lady Tigers in scoring with a 14.5 ppg. average. She also leads the team in assists with 15 or 3.75 apg. Chrissy Floyd is Clemson’s second leading scorer with a 13.5 ppg. mark. Maggie Slosser leads the Lady Tigers in rebounding with a 5.3 rpg. average.

This will be the 15th meeting between Clemson and Furman on the basketball court. The Lady Tigers lead the overall series that began in the 1975-76 season, 14-0.

Furman has a 2-3 record overall this season. The Paladins are led in scoring by Deshara Shealey with a 15.6 ppg. average. Orion Wake leads the squad in rebounding with a 6.8 rpg. mark.

Clemson will open ACC play at Maryland on Wednesday, December 5. The Lady Tigers’ next home game will be Saturday, December 8, as Clemson will entertain Miami (OH) at 4:00 p.m.
