Lady Tigers, Tar Heels Set for 75th All-Time Meeting

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team will take on (#13 AP/#10 Coaches) North Carolina (21-3, 7-2 ACC) on Thursday night at 7:00 pm in Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson (10-14, 3-6 ACC) will play its eighth ranked opponent of the season, and third top-ten opponent.

The game has been designated as the “Take a Kid to the Game” night, and all children will receive free admission to the game with a paying adult. Tickets are available on Clemsontigers.com or at the ticket window for $6.00. All seats are general admission.

The game will be available on TigerCast on ClemsonTigers.com, and livestats will be available as well.

The Lady Tigers will try to win a second consecutive ACC home game, as they defeated Virginia, 84-74, on Jan. 30.

Sthefany Thomas (12.5 ppg) and Kirstyn Wright (12.3 ppg) lead the Tigers, who enter ranked second in the conference in three-pointers made and third in three-point percentage. The Tigers need just nine three-point makes to set the school record of 159 long-distance makes in a season.

North Carolina is ranked in the top-ten for the first time this season, and are led by Italee Lucas (17.0 ppg). The all-time series is tied in Clemson, 14-14, while the Heels own a 48-26 overall mark in the series, and have won 15 straight.
