Clemson Notes:

  • Sophomore Nelly Perry is averaging 14.6 points per game (11th in the ACC) and 14.8 points per game in ACC play; she has scored in double-figures 16 times this season.
  • Perry scored a career-high 33 points (13-24 fg) vs. Boston College on Feb. 18, becoming the first Tiger to score 30+ points in a game since 2008.
  • Freshman Aliyah Collier ranks in the top-10 among ACC freshmen in rebounding (5.7 rpg) and steals (1.3 spg); she has scored eight or more points in nine of Clemson’s 13 ACC contests.
  • Collier pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds vs. Wake Forest on Feb. 11, the most boards by a Tiger since Dec. 30, 2012.
  • Freshman Danielle Edwards was named ACC Rookie of the Week on Dec. 28, the first Tiger to garner the award since the 2012-13 season.
  • Edwards ranks in the top-10 among ACC freshmen in scoring, rebounding, steals, blocks and assists.
  • Clemson has utilized 13 different starting lineups this season and only Danielle Edwards has appeared in every lineup.

Opponent & Series Notes:

  • Clemson holds a 30-40 record all-time vs. Virginia and 10-21 record on the road in Charlottesville, Va.
  • The Tigers have lost two in a row to Virginia, with Clemson’s last win over the Cavaliers coming on Feb. 21, 2013 in Littlejohn Coliseum.
  • Clemson Head Coach Audra Smith played at Virginia from 1988-1992, helping the school reach three NCAA Final Fours and win two ACC Championships. Coach Smith then served as an assistant coach at Virginia from 1994-2004.
  • Clemson Director of Operations Kathy Becker played at Virginia from 1998-2002 and Associate Head Coach Daryl Oliver was an assistant coach at Virginia from 2002-2004.
