Lady Tigers Compete at Virginia Tech Last Chance

Blacksburg, VA – The Clemson women’s track & field team competed at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet on Saturday at the Rector Field House on the Hokie campus. The day was highlighted by the 800m run in which Patrice McMillan edged teammate Thea Dix at the finish line for the title.

McMillan and Dix posted the same time (2:13.49), but the senior from Brookfield, WI held the slight edge over the native of Ellenwood, GA.

In the pole vault, Caroline Kennedy cleared 11’8.5″ and finished 10th. Rochelle Kokayko was sixth in the weight throw, as she recorded a toss of 54’10.25″.

Next up for the Lady Tigers are the NCAA Championships, which will be held March 9-10 in Fayetteville, AR. Della Clark and Patricia Mamona look to qualify as well provisionally.
