Lady Tiger Track & Field Plays Host to Tiger Classic This Weekend

Friday Meet Program

The Clemson women’s track & field team will play host to the Tiger Classic at the school’s Indoor Track Complex on Friday and Saturday, February 10-11. In total, 34 schools are scheduled to participate in the meet, which will feature both men’s and women’s competition. Friday events get underway at 5:00 PM and Saturday the meet will resume at 10:00 AM.

Scheduled to run the 60m dash for the Lady Tigers this weekend are Tonya Nwankwo, and Ope Sobanjo. In the 200m, Nwankwo will be joined by Tia Perry. Hill will represent Clemson in the 400m, while Thea Dix, and Candice Johnson will run the 800m for the Lady Tigers.

In the mile, Casey Phillips and Kerry Foltz, and Ford are scheduled to compete. Barton, Foltz, and Lauren Marriott are set to run the 5000m for Clemson on Friday evening.

In the 60m hurdles, Hardy, Perry, and Renata Miyamoto will compete for the Lady Tigers. Clemson will have one team entered in both the 4x400m relay and distance medley relay.

Miyamoto will be joined by Michelle Rogers will enter the triple jump for Clemson. Felicia Hawthorne, and Anni Korhonen will enter the high jump. In the pole vault, Beth Jordan, Helen Kirkland, and Krissy Thompson are scheduled to compete.

In the throws, Della Clark will compete in both the shot put and weight throw. Allison Bradshaw will also throw the shot put, with Rochelle Kokayko and Catheryne Porter entering the 20lb weight throw for the Lady Tigers.
