Lady Tiger Basketball Team To Travel To Western Carolina

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team will take on the Western Carolina Catamounts on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003 at the Ramsey Center in Cullowhee, NC. Tip off is slated for 7:00 PM. The game will be carried by WCCP at 104.9 on the FM dial.

The contest between Clemson and Western Carolina is Jim Davis’ 500th game as the head coach of the Clemson Lady Tigers. Davis holds a 333-166 record while at Clemson and a 351-174 record overall.

Clemson and Western Carolina have met four times on the basketball court. Clemson leads the series 4-0, with its most recent win coming in the 1995-96 season (80-26).

The Lady Tigers enter the game with a 3-1 record after defeating 15th-ranked Rutgers, 69-64, on Sunday, Nov. 30 at Littlejohn Coliseum. The win over Rutgers was the 51st victory over a top 25 ranked team for Davis, his 32nd in Littlejohn Coliseum. It was also the highest ranked victory for the Lady Tigers since defeating a ninth-ranked Auburn team on Dec. 21, 2000 by a 72-61 score in a game played in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The Catamounts enter the game with a 1-3 record. The Catamounts have defeated Campbell and have lost to High Point, Denver and UTEP.
