CLEMSON, SC – Alyssa Kulik and Kim Ruck of Clemson have been named to the All-Academic Team for cross country by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced Tuesday. Both runners were also members of the All-Southeast Region Team this past fall in cross country.
Ruck advanced to the NCAA Cross Country Championships as an individual last fall after a sixth-place finish at the Southeast Regional meet in November. It was Ruck’s second straight all-region showing in cross country. Ruck was also a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team selection in 2009 as a sophomore. Ruck is a health science major from Greer, SC.
Kulik earned her first career accolade last fall after a 25th-place finish at the Southeast Regional meet in Louisville, KY. Her finish gave the Tigers two all-region performers at the same meet for the first time since the 1993 season. Kulik, a native of Simpsonville, SC, is also a health science major.
