CLEMSON, SC – Clemson swimmer Ginny Kirouac was honored among Clemson’s elite graduates at Clemson’s 106th Commencement today. She was presented the Faculty Scholarship Award, which is given annually by Clemson faculty to the graduates with the highest academic achievements.
Kirouac received her degree in Financial Management, summa cum laude. Summa cum laude denotes graduates who have a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or better.
Along with her academic achievements, Kirouac performed well in the pool as well. She was a consistent performer in the 200 and 400 IM events for the Tigers and earned All-American honors in 2000.
“This is a perfect ending to Ginny’s career here at Clemson. This award exemplifies all the hard work she put forth both in the classroom and in the pool over the last four years,” said head coach Bruce Marchionda.
