Kendall Spray Named ACC Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Following a historic performance against Notre Dame, redshirt junior Kendall Spray was tabbed ACC Player of the Week, as voted on by the Blue Ribbon Panel. Spray is the first Tiger to earn Player of the Week honors this season.

Spray poured in a season-high 24 points against the Fighting Irish on Sunday afternoon and led the Tigers to their first-ever victory against Notre Dame. Clemson snapped the Irish’s 58-game game ACC home winning streak with the 71-55 win and became the first ACC team to ever win at Purcell Pavilion.

The Mt. Juliet, Tenn., native shot 50.0 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from beyond the arc, connecting on 8-14 three-point attempts and tying the school single-game three-point record. Spray finished 5-7 from three in the first half, including a 54-foot heave at the buzzer that gave the Tigers an 18-point halftime advantage. Her eight threes were the most by an ACC player this season.

The Tigers return to action on Thursday, January 2, welcoming No. 7 Louisville to Littlejohn Coliseum for a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
