Jess Rigler has been named Compliance Coordinator at Clemson University. Rigler will assist the associate and assistant athletic directors for compliance services with day-to-day operations including providing rules interpretations to coaches and administrators and developing a comprehensive and continuing rules education program. Rigler will serve as the primary administrator for the NCAA Compliance Assistance internet program. He will begin his duties at Clemson on March 14.
Rigler joins Clemson from NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, IN, where he served as Assistant Director of Membership Services. While with the NCAA, he served as contact for three conferences and processed initial-eligibility and progress-toward-degree waiver applications among other duties. Rigler was promoted to that position after serving as Coordinator of Membership Services for two years with the NCAA.
Rigler began his career in compliance as an assistant director at Central Michigan in 2000 where he worked on the institution’s NCAA and Mid-American Conference compliance programs. The Kennett Square, PA, native, graduated from Clemson in 1998 and is the member of a large Clemson family. Rigler’s father is a 1971 Tiger graduate and four of his siblings also graduated from Clemson, with a fifth currently attending the University. Rigler has a wife, Stephanie, who also graduated from Clemson in 1998.
