Jelelgo Finishes Fourth in Southeast Regionals, Advances to NCAA Championships

NCAA SOUTHEAST REGIONAL RESULTS

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s and men’s cross-country teams competed in the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships Friday morning, where Silvia Jelelgo finished fourth overall in the women’s 6k. As a top four finisher, Jelego automatically advances to the NCAA DI Women’s Cross Country Championship held at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo., on Nov. 22, 2025.

Women’s 6k: Jelelgo finished fourth overall with a time of 19:13.4, earning four points, and Gladys Chepngetich placed 13th with a time of 19:48.5 for 13 points, rounding out the tigers who finished in the top 15. As a team, the Tiger women placed eighth with a total of 243 points.

Men’s 10k: Brendan Gomez was the top placement for the men, finishing in 52nd with a time of 30:55.4 for 52 points. The Tiger men’s squad placed 15th with a total 386 points.

The 2025 Division I men’s and women’s cross country selection show will air on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 5 p.m. on NCAA.com, with Chepngetich having a chance to make the NCAA Championships.
