ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS WOMEN’S 6K | ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS MEN’S 8K
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Clemson cross country teams competed in the ACC Championships Friday morning, where Silvia Jelelgo and Gladys Chepngetich received All-ACC honors for their performances.
Jelelgo finished third overall with a time of 19:15.2, earning three points and Chepngetich placed 13th with a time of 19:51.4 for 13 points. Judy Kosgei earned 65 points for her time of 20:48.9, good for 71st overall. Elizabeth Ilanda crossed the finish line at 20:59.4 (82nd overall) to pick up 76 points. Madelyn Dinneen (93rd, 85 points) rounded out Clemson’s top five with a time of 21:10.1. As a team, the Tiger women placed 10th with a total of 242 points.
Garrett Brown was the top placement for the men, finishing 69th with a time of 24:08.6 for 61 points. Gideon Kiplimo finished 86th (24:19.0), receiving 73 points. Victor Ndiwa gained 77 points after finishing 96th overall with a time of 24:27.9. Brenden Gomez finished 104th with a time of 24:37.8 for 85 points. Trey Sullivan was the fifth Tiger to receive points (95), placing 114th with a time of 24:47.8. Collectively, the men tallied 391 points for 14th place.
