CLEMSON — Former Clemson University men’s basketball standout Jaron Blossomgame wrapped up his rookie season in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Blossomgame, 25, played in 27 games this season for the Cavs and made four starts. He averaged 4.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 44.3 percent from the field. Blossomgame shot 76.9 percent from the foul line.
In just his fourth-ever appearance in the Association, Blossomgame tallied his first career double-double at Milwaukee on Dec. 10. The rookie posted 11 points and hauled in 10 rebounds, finishing 3-for-5 from the floor (all from distance).
Blossomgame notched double-figure scoring on two occasions this season, including a career-high 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field on the road at the Charlotte Hornets on Dec. 19.
