Itay Magidi Named ACC Performer Of The Week

Clemson’s Itay Magidi was named the ACC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week as announced by the conference office. Magidi posted an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14:03.60 in the 5000m as he finished as the top collegiate runner at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, IN, this past weekend. The time recorded by the sophomore from Yavne, Israel is the fastest time in the ACC this season as well as the fifth-best mark in the nation. Magidi’s time in the 5K moved him into third on Israel’s all-time list and fourth on Clemson’s all-time list.

Magidi and the Tigers return to action this Saturday at the Tiger Invitational.
