Hogan Named Assistant Strength Training Director

CLEMSON, SC – Paul Hogan has returned to Clemson as an assistant strength training director.  The former University of Alabama football player returns to Clemson after spending the last five years as the Football Strength and Conditioning Coach at Samford University.

Hogan worked at Clemson as an assistant under Joey Batson between 2005-06.  Prior to that he had been a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama for two years, and served as a volunteer assistant at the University of Georgia for one year.

Hogan was a standout center for the University of Alabama football team from 1997-2000.  He started for four years and was a three-time All-SEC selection.  He earned All-America honors in 2000.

Hogan started 44 of 45 games in his career with the Crimson Tide and was a two-time Academic All-SEC selection.  He was a starter on Alabama’s 1999 SEC championship team.  As a senior in 2000 he was selected team captain and won the Pat Trammell Leadership Award.

Hogan earned an undergraduate degree from Alabama in Communications in 2000, then earned a master’s degree in management from Alabama in 2004.  He is a certified collegiate strength and conditioning specialist. In May of 2007 he became a certified sports nutrition consultant.

Hogan is married to the former Jennifer Rouzie and the couple has one son, Paul Rouzie Hogan.
