BOSTON, MA–Harvard won the doubles point and won four of the six singles matches as the Crimson defeated Clemson 5-2 in a men’s intercollegiate tennis match at Boston, MA late Friday.
Harvard improves to 2-0 on the year, while Clemson falls to 5-1 this season.
Nathan Thompson of Clemson defeated Martin Wetzel of Harvard 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 at number one singles. Ryan Young also won his singles match for the Tigers with a 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 win over Shantanu Dhaka at number four singles.
Clemson will play Boston College and Louisville Saturday.
