Kelly’s 3 Point Stance:

  1. Valuing the Rock: The Clemson Lady Tigers took care of the ball in the first half, only turning the ball over four times.
  2. Lock Down D: Clemson held Georgia Tech’s leading scorer Kaela Davis (20.5 ppg) to only four points on 1-7 fg in the first half of play.
  3. Superb Senior: Chelsea Lindsay is on her way to another stellar performance in ACC play. The Senior point guard already has eight points (3-6 fg) in the first half.

Fun Fact of the First Half:Clemson Freshman wing Francesca Tagliapietra and Georgia Tech Freshman guard Antonia Peresson are both natives of Italy and former teammates.

Keys to Victory:

  1. Georgia Tech outrebounded Clemson 27-17 in the first half. The Yellow Jackets have the size advantage inside however, the Lady Tigers need to keep the rebounding margin close in order to stay within striking distance in this contest.
  2. One of Clemson’s strengths as a team is free throw shooting, as they are 4-6 from the charity stripe in the first half. The Lady Tigers need to attack the basket and get to the free throw line more in the second half.
  3. Finally, Clemson must focus of stopping the dominant play of Georgia Tech post player Roddreka Rogers, who already has a double double (10 pts, 12 reb) after one half of action. Stopping Rogers is extremely crucial to Clemson winning this contest and improving to 2-0 in ACC play.
