CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Athletics announced today the hires of Owen Godfrey and Jason Lazar. Godfrey takes over as Assistant AD for Ticket Operations/Sales, while Lazar is the new Director of Littlejohn Coliseum.
Godfrey comes to Clemson following a three-year stint as Director of Ticket Sales and Operations at Georgia Tech. There, he oversaw ticket sales and related Tech Fund revenue of over $22 million for 5 ticketed sports including football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball and volleyball. Prior to his time in Atlanta, Godfrey was Assistant AD for Ticket Sales and Operations at Temple, where he worked from 2006-13. Originally from Barneveld, N.Y., he earned a bachelor’s degree in 2005 from the State University of New York at Cortland and began his career at Temple, where he earned a Masters of Education/Sport Administration in 2010.
Lazar will oversee all operational aspects of the newly rebuilt Littlejohn Coliseum following an eight-year run in Pittsburgh, the last six at the CONSOL Energy Center. Over the past four years served as the main building contact for incoming promoters, event manager on all large scale events, as well as production contact for incoming events. Lazar earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Ohio State in 2006. A native of Hermitage, Penn., he began his career with a year each at the Petersen Events Center and Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.
“These are two vital, outward-facing positions and we’re excited to have two extremely experienced and talented individuals join our team,” Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich said.
Godfrey replaces Kate McCrary, who served as Director of Ticket Operations for the past four years. Lazar will oversee Littlejohn as the athletics department takes over day-to-day operations of the facility.
