Atlanta, GA – The Clemson volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-15, 30-26, 30-16) decision against Georgia Tech Friday night at O’Keefe Gym. The Tigers drop to 4-7 overall and 0-4 in the ACC, while Georgia Tech improves to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the league.
Ryane Beasley led the Tigers with eight kills and a .240 hitting percentage, while senior Jodi Steffes tallied nine digs, three block assists and six kills. Jessi Betcher handed out 17 assists with eight digs, and Breezy Ambort added ten assists. The Tigers finished the night with 11 total blocks (two solo), with sophomore Marija Zoric leading the way with seven block assists and one block solo.
Georgia Tech’s Maja Pachale led all hitters with 12 kills and Kele Eveland had a match high 27 assists with 16 digs for the Yellow Jackets. Eveland also led the team hitting .583 (7-0-12). Lauren Sauer and Alexandra Preiss tallied two blocks each to lead Georgia Tech.
The Tigers will travel to Chapel Hill, NC on Tuesday, October 2 to take on the Tar Heels in a 7:00 p.m. match.
