CLEMSON, S.C – The Clemson Tigers womenâs basketball is back in action and will host the Radford Highlanders on Sunday.
The game will tip off at 2:00 p.m. and can be seen on ACCNX with Daron Vaught and legendary Clemson coach Jim Davis on the call. It can also be heard on 105.5 The Roar or the Clemson Tigers app with William Qualkinbush and Faxon Childress on the broadcast. Clemson owns a 7-0 all-time record in the series against the Highlanders.
The Tigers and their stifling defense enter the game with a 5-3 record. The Clemson defense is holding opponents to just 54.6 points per game â third best in the ACC â and are rebounding among the best in the nation. Clemson is collecting nearly 30 defensive rebounds per game â ranking in the top 25 in the country â and is outrebounding opponents by nearly nine rebounds a game.
All five of Clemsonâs wins this season have come when the Tigers score 60 or more points, shoot better than 40% from the field, and force their opponents to commit more turnovers.
Loyal McQueen has had the best start to a year in her career. Sheâs averaging career highs in points (14.9), field goal percentage (.448), three point percentage (.400), free throw percentage (.853), rebounds per game (3.5) and assists per game (5.0).
Mia Moore has been a revelation for the Tigers this season. In addition to being second on the team in scoring (11.8 ppg), Moore leads the team in rebounding (6.9 rpg) and steals per game (1.2).
