GAMEDAY CENTRAL: Tigers Close Out Four-Game Homestand, Host No. 3 Fighting Irish

Please be advised that construction has begun outside of Littlejohn Coliseum on a state-of-the-art update to the basketball facilities. A section of the walkway has been fenced off at the corner of Avenue of Champions and Centennial Boulevard, and all entrances remain open at this time, though travel paths are impacted.

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers Women’s Basketball team (10-6, 3-2) looks to bounce back with the No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (13-2, 4-0) in Littlejohn Coliseum on Sunday, January 12. The game will tip off at 2:00 p.m. and can be seen on The CW with Kylen Mills and Isis Young on the call. It can also be heard on 105.5 The Roar or the Clemson Tigers app with William Qualkinbush and Faxon Childress on the broadcast. Some customers might not be able to access The CW. Regarding the situation, the ACC released a statement saying, “If you are an Altice customer and having issues accessing The CW today, it can still be accessed via an antenna with no subscription required. Other providers like Hulu + Live TV or YouTubeTV also may offer free trials without any equipment needed for setup.”

Sunday’s game will be “Youth Day” and it will also be the “Fight for Literacy” game. The organization will be giving away children’s books at tables throughout the arena, and the first 500 fans ages 13 and under will be able to receive a free Tiger squish.

This is the fourth game that Clemson has played against a top 25 team this season, the last of which was against no. 20 California which the Tigers won 69-58, recording their first win against a top 25 opponent in almost two years.

Loyal McQueen leads the Tiger attack and is averaging career highs in points per game (14.0), rebounds per game (3.5), assists per game (5.3), and shooting career highs from the field (.435) and from three (.467). This season, she has set new single game career highs in points (26), rebounds (seven) and assists (10, two times).

In Clemson’s last game against Virginia, Mia Moore led the Tigers with 20 points and set a new career high with four three pointers made in a game. Hannah Kohn also had an excellent game with five made three pointers and scoring the second most points in a single game in her career (17).
