Clemson, S.C. — The Clemson Tigers (4-1) look to win their first ACC matchup on the road against the No. 10 Virginia Cavaliers (4-0) on Friday, March 3 at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville, Va. No. 10 Virginia will be the highest ranked team that Clemson has played thus far in the season. The game will be live streamed on ACCNX and live stats will be available here

The Tigers are coming off their first in conference game, where they narrowly lost 12-9 to the No. 13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Clemson led Notre Dame 6-4 at the half and were tied 9-9 with under ten minutes left to play. The Fighting Irish were able to muster up a comeback when the Tigers were plagued with several yellow cards in the fourth quarter.

Leading the team in scoring for the second straight game, Gianna New scored a hat trick. Emily Lamparter played an impressive game in the cage with a career high of 16 saves. Both New and Lamparter will look to continue to play important roles against Virginia.

Leading scorers Rachel Clark and Ashlyn McGovern will look to make an impact Friday on the offensive side of the ball for Virginia, while draw specialist Aubrey Williams looks to add to her 199 career draw control record. All three Cavaliers, Clark, McGovern and Williams earned Preseason All-America honors.

Virginia is led by seasoned veteran Head Coach Julie Myers and newly added Assistant Coaches Brittany Dipper and Ally Kennedy.
