Clemson, S.C. — The Clemson Tigers (4-1) look to win their first ACC matchup on the road against the No. 10 Virginia Cavaliers (4-0) on Friday, March 3 at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville, Va. The Tigers are coming off their first in conference game, where they narrowly lost 12-9 to the No. 13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Clemson led Notre Dame 6-4 at the half and were tied 9-9 with under ten minutes left to play. The Fighting Irish were able to muster up a comeback when the Tigers were plagued with several yellow cards in the fourth quarter.
Leading the team in scoring for the second straight game, Gianna New scored a hat trick. Emily Lamparter played an impressive game in the cage with a career high of 16 saves. Both New and Lamparter will look to continue to play important roles against Virginia.
