Game Preview

Clemson, S.C. — The Clemson Tigers lacrosse team (6-2, 0-2 ACC) is set to host the No. 13 Duke Blue Devils (4-2, 0-2 ACC) on Saturday, March 11 at noon. Saturday’s game against Duke will mark Clemson’s first conference game on their home turf, Historic Riggs Field. The game will be streamed live on ACCNX and live stats will be available here. 

Clemson is coming off of a 18-7 win over Campbell on Wednesday, March 8. After a tight first half, the Tigers pulled away in the second half, scoring nine straight unanswered goals. Jalyn Jimerson impressed with a season high of four goals. In addition to Jimerson, eight other Tigers would find the back of the net against Campbell. Defensively, Clemson came up with 21 caused turnovers. 

The Blue Devils will be the third ACC ranked opponent the Tigers have faced thus far this season. Both Duke and Clemson are looking to win their first ACC matchup of the season, as each team is 0-2 in conference play. 

Duke is led by seasoned Head Coach Kerstin Kimel and Assistant Coaches Brooke Griffin and Nick Williams. On the draw, Clemson will be facing Maddie Jenner who holds the NCAA record for most won draw controls with 666 total. In addition, Clemson’s defense will have to contain Katie DeSimone, Duke’s leading scorer.
