Former Tiger Greene Not Short On Confidence

PEORIA, Ariz. — Rookie Khalil Greene will draw the starting assignment at shortstop this season but if the heat is on, you wouldn’t notice.

Greene is cool and not just because he strikes a resemblance to Jeff Spicoli of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He comes by it honest with a demeanor that should serve him well on the Padres this season and throughout his Major League career.
