CLEMSON, S.C. – Five members of the Lady Tiger track and field team won their events at the Jesse Owens Track Classic held Sunday in Columbus, OH. Cydonie Mothersill, LaShonda Cutchin, Michelle Burgher, Kyana Elder and Nyjla Littlejohn claimed their events.
Mothersill won the 100m dash with a time of 11.42 while LaShonda Cutchin won her section in two events. She posted time of 24.58 in the 200m dash and 55.93 in the 400m dash. Shannon Murray was second in the 200m dash with a time of 24.82 and Marcia Smith was sixth (24.50). Smith also finished sixth in the 400m dash with a time of 56.28. Burgher won her section of the 400m dash with a provisional qualifying and season-best time of 52.74 while Shekera Weston posted a third place finish in 53.98. Elder won one section of the 100m hurdles with a provisional qualifying time of 13.75 and finished third in the fast section with a time of 13.58. Littlejohn won the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.14.
In the field events, Mandy McLane finished second in the pole vault, clearing 11’11 3/4″. Jamine Moton competed in the discus, placing third with a mark of 171’2″.
